I just recently finished Jonathan Haidt's The Righteous Mind, and in his book he talks about how to bridge the gap between conservatives and liberals! I thought I would share with you six ways that conservatives can talk to liberals, and maybe even change their minds.

I loved this video! I’m not it’s as brave as you and didn’t want to comment on YouTube, but this was great. I think looking at each other as humans is so important and so difficult. I live in the suburbs of Chicago, predominantly liberal, and I often feel like an outsider or an enemy. Today my US History teacher and five or six of my classmates were arguing with me about the protests at the capitol. I agreed that things went too far but they were making off hand remarks about republicans and conservatives in general. It was hurtful and I almost left class. I decided to stay and see what I could try to debunk. I ended up feeling lonely. I hope for a world with less divide, but if that can’t happen, I’m happy with at least having a community of like minded people.
