The Truest Love Song: Widmung

Widmung means Dedication. 

This art song by Robert Schumann, with poetry by Friedrich Rückert, is one of the most beautiful love songs ever written. Schumann wrote this for his wife, Clara, for their wedding day and expressed all of his joy and love for her through his music. The poetry is beautiful and describes love in its highest form - the music then raises the words above themselves and into another realm.
